Top price for European Angus bull at Hilltown Annual Multi Breed Bull Sale

At the H.F.A.S. Annual Multi Breed Bull Sale in Hilltown on Wednesday evening, the 10th April, a European Angus Bull secured the top price of 2,500gns on the night.

Bannwater Jacko, from the Bannwater herd of the Magowan family from Rathfriland, was purchased by Seaforde farmer, Brian Kennedy.

Bannwater Jacko was sired by Hartside Jacko and the Dam was Kiltariff Lady Jemina.

The second highest price on the night was paid for a Simmental bull, which was purchased for 1900gns.

Top price: Bannwater Jacko, a European Angus bull born 07/03/11 secured the top price of 2,500 guineas in the H.F.A.S. Annual Multi Breed Bull Sale in Hilltown on Wednesday, 10th April. The bull was sold by the Magowan family from Rathfriland to Seaforde farmer, Brian Kennedy. Pictured with the bull are, Cameron Magowan, (left) and Brian Kennedy.
