Cavan Bellaghy Erica takes top accolade in European Angus classes

Cavan Bellaghy Erica, a four-year-old cow entered by Mark Lester from Armagh was named Champion in the European Angus classes at the Castlewellan Show.

A young bull (06/03/13) Richhill Black Jack, belonging to Harry McGaffin from Gilford,
was named Reserve Champion.

Aughnagurgan Ella, also entered by Mark Lester, but handled by European Angus young handler, Molly Bradley on the day took the top honours in the Calf Class.

Judging of the European Angus classes at Castlewellan was by Stephen Millar, from Irvinestown.

European Angus Results:

Champion: Cavan Bellaghy Erica, Mark Lester, Armagh.
Reserve Champion: Richhill Black Jack, Harry McGaffin, Gilford.
Calf Class: Aughnagurgan Ella, Mark Lester, Armagh.

David Lester from Armagh and Molly Bradley from Killylea with European Angus Champion, Cavan Bellaghy Erica and her calf, Augnagurgan Ella, who took the honours in the calf class.

A young bull, Richhill Black Jack, belonging to Harry McGaffin from Gilford was named Reserve Champion in the European Angus classes. Handler, Stuart McGaffin is presented with the rosette by judge, Stephen Millar.

Aughnagurgan Ella, entered by Mark Lester from Armagh took top spot in the European Angus Calf Class. Judge Stephen Millar makes the rosette presentation to young handlers, Molly Bradley from Killylea and Sam Cooke from Armagh.

Aughnagurgan Elisa, from Mark Lester was runner-up in the cow class. Judge Stephen Millar is pictured with handlers, Judith Lester and Sam Cooke from Armagh.
